Did you copy and edit config files in /usr/local/etc/istgt?
It is not made by ports. Because I want to prevent
an unexpected iSCSI device open to the public.

If /etc/rc.conf is not edited, you should execute the following command.

# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/istgt forcestart

I did the following things:

# cd /usr/ports/net/istgt
# make
# make install
# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/istgt restart

It didn't report any error. But there's no /var/run/istgt.pid, and no listening 3260, and no process named "istgt" running
